From FormulaK’s press release: In the shifter category the absolute star on track was Xen De Ruwe of team FK Racing AB. After the qualifying practices, where he was the fastest, the Belgian driver was sitting 22nd due to a “peculiar” penalty.

De Ruwe, in fact, stepped on track with a taped-up radiator, something Rotax regulations allow as long as the tape is free of visible sponsors, which was not his case. From then on De Ruwe was forced to chase, but in the heats he flew away, scoring the best lap in all three matches and collecting the 4th, 8th and 5th places.

Then in the pre-final De Ruwe unleashed the superiority of his vehicle and of his driving ability on the Spanish track, conquering victory. Same tune in the final: 1st place and, once more, absolute best race lap.
