Igor Cepil (KR/IAME), winner of the Prefinal A, was the fastest at lights out and led the first of 13 laps ahead of Alfio Spina (KR/IAME) who took a lighting start from the third row of the grid! The winner of Prefinal B, Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart/Vortex), could not hold them from pole position but kept himself in the chasing group in third place.

Freddie Slater (Kosmic/Vortex) also took a strong start and even came close to lead the pack when going around the inside of the leaders at the hairpin, but his late-breaking move pushed him down to fifth. The Final quickly turned into a three-driver fight between Cepil, Taponen and Spina with the latter making his way up to first as soon as Lap 4.

Once in the lead, the KR driver managed to stay ahead and kept improving the gap until crossing the finish line, 1.1 seconds ahead of Cepil, followed by Taponen. Brando Badoer (KR/IAME), polesitter on Friday and leader after the heats, did not get to battle for the win down in fourth, ahead of Slater in fifth.

The second and third rounds of the WSK Euro Series will unfold from September 14th to 20th in a double-header format on the Sette Laghi Circuit of Castelletto di Branduzzo.
