“With this fast-moving complex situation of COVID-19, RGMMC GmbH has decided to postpone the first two rounds of the 2020 Champions of the future to later dates,” says the statement.
“The health and safety of our customers, team members, and our staff members are our number one priority. We thank you for your understanding.”
The opening round of Champions of the Future, a brand new competition reserved for CIK-FIA classes Mini 60, OK, OK-Junior and KZ2, was scheduled in Zuera, Spain, from April 2nd to 5th, followed by Castelletto, Italy, from April 23rd to 26th.
No mention is made regarding the third and closing meeting of the series at Kristianstad, Sweden, as its scheduling at a later date, from June 25th 28th, gives it hopes to be maintained, depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe at this point in time.
