The Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) has decided, due to the current context, to cancel the 35th edition of the Karting 24 Hours of Le Mans, originally scheduled on August 29 and 30, 2020 on the International Le Mans Karting Circuit.

The postponement of many events, such as the Le Mans 24 Hours (19-20 September 2020) and the Le Mans Motorbike 24 Hours (29-30 August 2020), forced the Automobile Club de l’Ouest to cancel the Karting 24 Hours Karting.

These various postponements were unfortunately not compatible with the holding of the event in good conditions. The ACO’s priority is to ensure the safety of spectators, teams, drivers and all of the organizing teams, as well as the quality of its events.

Well aware of the inconvenience caused, the ACO relies on everyone’s understanding and invites everyone to apply government instructions in terms of travel restrictions and compliance with barrier measures.

With the Le Mans circuit unable to host the event in 2020, the ACO and its ASK are working together on a test project on another circuit to maintain the Endurance Karting competition this year.

Depending on the evolution of the health situation, the ACO and ASK ACO will confirm in the coming weeks whether or not such an event is taking place in the upcoming months.
