OK

For the second consecutive weekend in this year’s WSK Euro Series, Dexter Patterson (KR/IAME) clinched Pole position in the OK class. The young Scot mastered the 1198 meters of the Angerville Circuit in 49.238 seconds to put himself in front of the pack with Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR/IAME) by his side. Like the Polesitter, the reigning World Champion will seek to improve from the opening round where both were left with no points in the Final due to an incident in the closing laps. Rosberg Racing Academy’s Taylor Barnard (KR/IAME) will start from third on the grid followed by the current points’ leader Dino Beganovic (Tony Kart/Vortex) and Dilano Van’t Hoff (Exprit/TM) closing up the top 5.

OK Junior

Amongst the 31 Juniors, Thomas Ten Brinke (FA Kart/Vortex) confirmed his good form of Sarno (second on Sunday) by setting the fastest lap time (50.832 seconds) less than a tenth in front of Jamie Day (Exprit/Vortex). Christian Ho (FA Kart/Vortex) took the third-fastest performance and will start each of the three Qualifying Heats on schedule alongside Alfio Spina (KR/IAME). Sarno’s victor Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart/Vortex) came in fifth place followed by Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR/IAME). Robert De Haan (Energy/TM), second in the class rankings, slipped down the order to 21st and will have ground to recover on Saturday while the Brazilian Matheus Ferreira (Exprit/Vortex) couldn’t go further than the pre-grid.

60 Mini

Due to 44 drivers on the entry list, the 60 Mini category was split into two groups for the Qualifying practice. Taking advantage of the improving track conditions, Francesco Marenghi (Tony Kart/TM) took the advantage in the second series with the overall Pole position in 56.088 seconds. Provisional Polesitter after the first ten minutes, Joel Bergström (Parolin/TM) eventually had to make do with second place overall (first in the Group B). On home soil, Guillaume Bouzar (Ipkarting/TM) came in third place (leader in the Group C) followed by Giovanni Trentin (Parolin/TM, first in Group D) and Alex Powell (Energy/TM, first in Group E). The current leader of the class, William Macintyre (Parolin/TM) concluded the Qualifying practice with the 12th lap time while the unfortunate Douwe Dedecker (Parolin/TM) was left without a lap time after facing engine troubles on the pre-grid.
