Taking advantage of improving track conditions, Giuseppe Palomba (Croc Promotions/TM) clinched the overall Pole position of the KZ2 category this Friday afternoon in Sarno. In the local heat (up to 38° in the air), the Italian drove an impressive lap of 56.418, more than two tenths of a second faster than his countryman Giacomo Pollini (Formula K/TM) in the same third qualifying series.
The Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn (KR/TM) took the third-fastest lap (56.668) in front of Valentino Fritsch (Birel ART/TM), both having set their respective performances in the second series. At ease on the Neapolitan circuit, David Vidales (Tony Kart/Vortex) concluded his day with the best lap in the opening series, putting him fifth overall. The Spaniard is followed by Paavo Tonteri (Tony Kart/Vortex), all having taken the highest grid positions for the Qualifying Heats scheduled this Saturday.
Emilien Denner (Sodikart/TM) took the seventh-fastest lap time while the current standings leader and Wackersdorf victor Emil Skaras (Energy Corse/TM) was 13th. Simone Cunati (CRG/TM) and Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART/TM), who both had joined the Swede on the podium in Germany, came respectively on 27th and 21st positions against the clock.
