As in KZ2, an Italian driver set the pace on home soil in the KZ category. Lorenzo Camplese put his Tony Kart/Vortex material at the forefront of the 22 driver-field with a lap in 56.279. Alessandro Irlando (BirelART/TM) also showed a strong rhythm and followed his countryman for 0.041 seconds.
Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart/Vortex) took the third-fastest performance ahead of Anthony Abbasse (Sodikart/TM), the points leader since Wackersdorf preceding Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG/IAME). Polesitter and second at the opening round of the Championship, Matteo Vigano (Tony Kart/Vortex) was 12th of a Qualifying practice where the two times World champion Paolo De Conto (CRG/TM) didn’t set a lap time.
