The young Singaporean locked up a lap of the 1547 meter-long circuit in 1:01.190 in the second qualifying series for a mere three hundreds of a second-gap over the New Zealander Jacob Douglas.

Oleksandr Partyshev, from Ukraine, came close behind (0.103 seconds) with the third-fastest performance ahead of Robert De Haan. The Dutchman, who dominated his peers at Germany’s kick-off event, was the fastest of the first qualifying series before having to settle for fourth while his closest rivals from Wackersdorf, Joshua Coertze and Daae Magnus, concluded their effort in 13th and 30th positions in the hierarchy.
