As in 2020, the Erftlandring in Kerpen will lead the way: from May 7th to 9th, the first decisions of the season will be made on the traditional track in western Germany. The series continues at the beginning of June (04.-06.06) at Wackersdorf.
Two weeks before the European Shifter Kart Championship at the same place, the DKM race will be the general rehearsal. Traditionally, the Prokart Raceland promises a full field of participants and exciting races.
At the half-time of the season, the DKM travels to Genk, in Belgium, for the only foreign race from 30.07 – 01.08. This year, unfortunately, the race on the international top track had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
For the ending of the season, a premiere at the DKM awaits. After the failure of this year’s race on the new racetrack in Mülsen, it should be time in 2021. At the beginning of September (10-12), the international field of participants will be in Saxony.
The big season finale will take place only three weeks later (01 – 03.10) at the Schweppermannring in Ampfing. The 1.036-meter long track offers a successful atmosphere for the completion of an eventful year.
In principle, not much will change in the DKM framework program for 2021. A new and participant-dependent rating mode for the DMSB kart predicates is still being worked on. There will also be news in the DSKM and DSKC holding format. Once again, the four classes DKM, DJKM, DSKM and DSKC will be advertised.
The German Electric Karting Championship (DEKM) is once again part of the racing program. The E-Kart Project E20, the technology partner BRP Rotax, will once again be used – it already convinced in 2020 and provided for exciting karting. In addition, all DEKM participants can once again look forward to the attractive “Arrive & Drive Package”.
