After the success at the FIA Karting European championship round in the “Home of Champions” of Genk, Belgium, the team around Christian Voß started the journey to the next top event. This time it took them to Castelletto, Italy where the second event of the IAME X30 Euro Series by RGMMC took place last weekend. Drivers from all around the world entered with, amongst them, four representatives of the team from Altendiez.
Already after Qualifying, Lorenzo Travisanutto straight away felt comfortable on home soil. Seventh against the clock, he was within striking distance and took two heat wins the following day. From sixth on the grid, he was unstoppable in the Prefinal on Sunday morning. In the Final, the Italian stormed to the head of the field and didn’t let the victory be taken away from him. He could well celebrate his fourth victory within four weeks after the WSK, DKM, and EM – a considerable conclusion for the driver and the team.
“What can you add to this!? Lorenzo delivered a great job and is responsible for the permanent smile in the team’s faces. Everybody is working very hard and are now rewarded for their effort,” head of the team Christian Voß summarized.
Next to Travisanutto, O’Neill Muth also showed strong development in the course of the weekend. 47th after Qualifying, he wasn’t satisfied in any means and kept fighting his way to the front in the heats and Finals. Ultimately, he missed the top ten by a hair being placed 11th in the final race. In contrast, Linus Jansen and Chris Rosenkranz were less lucky, both having missed the entry to the final round.
Next week, the team will continue his program in Kristianstad (Sweden) for the next installment of the FIA Karting European championship – OK/Junior. Travisanutto will count again within the favorites and can take the overall leading position with another victory.
