Tony Kart was once again the protagonist during the fourth stage of the WSK Euro Series which ended last Saturday evening at the Adria Karting Raceway, awarding the 60 Mini, OKJ and OK titles. Despite an unlucky Final, Nikita Bedrin confirmed his third place in the Junior rankings and Dino Beganovic (Ward Racing) finished second in the OK rating with the OTK Kart Group material.

In OKJ, the Tony Kart/Vortex duo already achieved excellent results in the Qualifying Heats with the first place by the driver of the Ward Racing Team Artem Severiukhin and the third by Alexander Dunne. Nikita Bedrin was getting better and better and gained a fifth, a fourth and a second place, before closing 5th in Prefinal.

Alexander Dunne was the author of a fantastic performance in the Prefinal, recovering three positions and winning the race, which earned him the second position for the final. There, the drivers of the Tony Kart Racing Team produced a brilliant start but were involved in an intense brawl just after a few corners that made them lose ground. Despite this, after finding the right pace, they proved once again to be among the fastest on the track and during the final stages of the race, recovering many positions.

Unfortunately, two laps from the end, an unexpected contact forced both drivers to withdraw from the race. A real pity considering the potential of the Tony Kart 401 R, confirmed also by the results of Artem Severiukhin, fifth with 11 positions gained in the Final, and his team-mate William Siverholm, who recovered 12 positions in the Final B up to fourth.

In OK, the Tony Kart/Vortex material among the top contenders with the Ward Racing Team drivers Kirill Smal and Dino Beganovic. The first, after being fifth in Qualifying, won two heats (the last one with almost five seconds of a gap, scoring the best lap), was second both in the Prefinal and in the Final. Beganovic, instead, was the author of an amazing comeback in Prefinal from the ninth to the fifth position, while the eighth place in the Final was enough to celebrate the second position in the final rating of the WSK Euro Series besides th OK Italian Champion title.

The weekend in Adria was also very intense for the 60 Mini category with many young drivers brilliantly standing out with their Tony Kart Mini Rookie EV. The best in the Final were Andrea Filaferro (Newman Motorsport), fifth and winner of his Prefinal, and Manuel Scognamiglio (Gamoto). Great Final also for the drivers of our Racing Team who gained the entry in the decisive race after performing fantastic comebacks in the Prefinals, with sixteen positions gained by Irfan Coskun and ten for Jimmy Helias. Good weekend also for Jules Caranta, constantly in the Top Ten in the Heats.

The Tony Kart Racing Team will now have three weeks off to train in view of another important race meeting, the fourth and last round of the FIA Karting European Championship-OK/Junior in Le Mans, from July 19th to 21st.
