The modifications concern Article 16 applying to the FIA Karting World Championships – OK, Junior and KZ and Article 14 for the FIA Karting International Super Cup – KZ2.
The maximum number of Slick tyres from the Qualifying Heats to the Final was limited until now to two sets with free management.
In order to increase sporting equality among the 34 finalists, it was decided to allow two sets of slick tyres for Qualifying Practice and the Qualifying Heats and to make the use of a new set of slick tyres for the Final mandatory.
