With the first race of the season comes a busy media day! Each category got a briefing on track safety, and the schedule of the coming weekend. Formula Medicine also joined the action in Portimão, offering drivers valuable tips on physical training and race preparations and coaching them through training sessions throughout the day.

All the drivers got their picture taken, and had to come up with a unique pose for the camera to put in the broadcast intro. Their names and images will be shown on the livestream. After shooting some social media content and interviews, it was time to hit the track for the very first testing sessions of the 2025 season.

The Mini 60, OK-N Juniors and OK-N Seniors all got two sessions of twelve minutes to get the feel of the track in mixed weather conditions after running in the new engines. The end of the day was met with rain clouds and a soaking wet track. On Friday, the drivers are getting more practice time before the racing weekend properly starts.

F1 Academy has also extended its partnership with the series, with nine selected drivers receiving support once again through F1 Academy Discover Your Drive for 2025. F1 Academy representatives are on track this weekend to brief the selected girls on their upcoming season.
