Saturday’s action at Round 3 of the European Championship delivered a shakeup across the OK, OK-Junior and Senior Academy categories, as drivers faced a packed day of racing that tested consistency, pace, and composure under pressure.
OK
Christian Costoya continued his dominant form from Friday’s record-breaking qualifying by winning every race he contested, putting together a flawless run that leaves him at the top of the standings with a maximum score.
Daniel Kelleher remains his closest challenger with a string of top results, while James Anagnostiadis also impressed with multiple victories and clean overtakes that underlined his racecraft.
Just behind, Vladimir Ivannikov put in another consistent day, staying within the top three throughout. Jacob Micallef and Lewis Francis both had strong runs, combining outright pace with smart positioning to remain firmly in the top group.
OK-Junior
Turner Brown leads the way after a strong day of racing, taking multiple wins and consistently running at the front. Close behind, Ilie Crisan and Bosco Arias also put in standout drives, maintaining top finishes across the board and keeping the pressure on the leader.
Dean Hoogendoorn and Noah Baglin were right in the mix with consistent top-three finishes. Iskender Zulfikari also came out strong, showing he’s ready to challenge the front runners.
The level of competition remains incredibly close, with drivers like Samuel Hugon, Henry Domain, Gianmatteo Rousseau and Oliveri Sini all performing well inside the top ten.
Academy Trophy Senior
Harrison Whitticombe leads the classification with a perfect 100 points after a calm and controlled performance across the board.
Annabel Kennedy is close behind on 85 points, showing strong pace by also setting the event record in the category so far. Jules Avril and Gianna Pascoal are locked in a close fight for third, both showcasing racing maturity.
The top ten is really close, with names like Ates Birinci, Yuzuki Sato, and Mio Olert, all within reach of the front. With other drivers having scored points and only minor gaps between much of the field, everything remains to play for heading into Sunday’s final.
Maxxis’ tyre performance remained very consistent throughout the day, with both Prime and Option compounds showing minimal wear and coming back from the track in good condition. Drivers who opted for fresh tyres saw a clear advantage, especially in the senior category using the Prime compound. Track temperatures peaked around 60°C, but steady winds helped stabilise asphalt conditions despite the intense sun.
The Super Heats and Finals on Sunday will be decisive, with grid positions and overall results still wide open.
