For Christian Voß and his team, the clocks don’t stop ticking. Last weekend, HTP Kart Team attended its fourth race in a row, this time on the 1.200 meters-long South Garda Circuit of Lonato in northern Italy.

With FIA Karting World Champion Lorenzo Travisanutto and promising rookie Arthur Tohum, the HTP Kart Team could once again count on two strong names to go against the top drivers who gathered from all around the World to duel for the prestigious victory. Disputed with the best weather and spring-like temperatures, the weekend of competition unfolded well for the team from Altendiez.

After the kick-off of the WSK Super Master Series, the Kart Republic Team showed that they can be expected again with high-level chassis performance on track this year. Reigning World Champion Travisanutto started out his weekend strong by setting the best time in Friday’s Qualifying. He then kept up with the top drivers through the Qualifying Heats but fell back in the third race of Saturday to finish in 8th place in the provisional ranking. A good second position in the Super Heat 2 promoted him on the 7th spot on the final grid where he produced a perfect race to win the prestigious event.

“Lorenzo did a great job”, declared team leader Christian Voß. “He stayed calm throughout the race and struck in the Final.”

Additionally to the Italian driver, newcomer Arthur Tohum continued his learning phase in the OK Juniors which featured a strong field of 88 participants.

The schedule proves to be hectic for HTP Kart Team, already back on track the upcoming weekend with the second race of the WSK Super Master Series taking place on the same location of the South Garda Karting circuit. A track that Travisanutto knows like no other and where he has another opportunity to extend his lead in the WSK Series.“Thanks to Kart Republic and our strong partners we have a competitive package on which we want to build up from race to race”, added Christian Voß “The season is still very young and we must continue to be concentrated and focus every single time.”

The second round of the WSK Super Master Series will unfold in Lonato from Friday to Sunday and will be reported on this website where a special page with Live Timing / Live Streaming will be available.
