Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). The moment of the grand finale of the European Championship of KZ and KZ2 has come at South Garda Karting and the circuit in Lonato will award the two titles on Sunday, July 15th. The Academy Trophy will also be on track with drivers coming from 40 Countries all set to battle in the second of the three rounds that make up this Trophy reserved to the youngest drivers.

The Sunday’s program will kick off with the warm-up from 8:25 to 9:50, while the closing qualifying heats will follow from 9:55 to 11:50. The presentation of the drivers contesting the Final is scheduled for 13:00. Finals will get green lights at 13.20 (KZ2); 14:25 (Academy) and 15:25 (KZ).

Francesco Celenta (Praga-Tm) and the Dutch Marijn Kremers (BirelArt-Tm) have exchanged on top in the heats of KZ, but the two CRG drivers Jorrit Pex and Paolo De Conto displayed good competitiveness too. Classification leader Jeremy Iglesias (Formula K-Tm) accused some delay instead. The starting grid of the Final will be decided by the closing heat on Sunday morning.

The closing heats of KZ2 will also decide the finalists of this category. Among the quickest on Saturday, the French Emilien Denner (Kalì-Kart-Tm) secured three wins and a fifth place, Giuseppe Palomba (Intrepid-Tm) won two heats and claimed a second and a third, and Riccardo Longhi (BirelArt-Tm) took three wins but also scored a DNF that hits quite badly on his position on the starting grid of the Final. Giacomo Pollini (Formula K-Tm) also claimed two wins, classification leader from France Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart) one, as  Manuel Cozzaglio (BirelArt-Tm).

The Italian Federico Albanese and provisional classification leader from France Sami Meguetounif, on Exprit-Vortex, claimed two wins each today in the Academy Trophy.
