The second practice day of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli is concluded for Jace Denmark-Gessel whose on-track activity was again divided into three Non-Qualifying Practice sessions as part of the odd-numbered group in the 72 driver-filled Senior MAX class.

While Monday was mainly about discovering both the layout of Sarno and the Sodikart / Rotax material, the American driver and his team made good use of their track time today by trying different set-ups in search of more performance.

As a result, the hard work on the sidelines paid off on track where Jace kept improving his pace which translated into better lap performance. In his last free practice of the day, he went more than 0.3 seconds faster than his previous attempt while reaching the Top 8 on his group.

“Today went good, even better than yesterday with my lap pace improving each session! We tried more radical choices with the material before returning to a more usual set-up at the end of the day. Run after run, the track continued to speed up with all the rubber going down from all the drivers. We tested lots of different things and I think we can be in a good position for Qualifying,” he said in his daily debrief.

Jace’s journey at Sarno continues on Wednesday from 9:20 am with the last Non-Qualifying Practice session of his Senior odd-numbered group until 3:16 pm and their opening Qualifying Heat of the week.
