The third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series is underway at the fast and flowing Viterbo Karting Track — and so far, the performance has been nothing short of impressive, on and off the stopwatch.
From a Maxxis perspective, the weekend kicked off in the best possible way. In OK Qualifying Practice, Scott Marsh stopped the clock with a blistering 51.403, setting the fastest lap ever recorded at this circuit in the OK category.
Across both categories, the Prime and Option compounds have proven their worth. Even after three intense heats, many drivers are still reporting minimal degradation, with lap times remaining consistent and competitive throughout. Some have even managed to pace themselves strategically, preserving performance without sacrificing speed — a testament to the tyres’ durability and adaptability.
OK Junior saw Iskender Zulfikari lead the field with a 52.980, followed closely by Dan Allemann and William Calleja, all within striking distance. The field remains incredibly tight, with Crisan and Garciace rounding out the top five — all within just two-tenths of the leader.
In OK, behind Marsh’s record-breaking time, Cuman, Costoya, Garst, and Pesl were all locked in a battle of hundredths, keeping the pressure high. Not far behind, Ramaekers, Pavan, Craigie, and Bättig also showed strong pace and tyre management heading into the remaining heats.
As Friday unfolds with more racing action ahead of Saturday’s final, Maxxis is proud to see its tyres delivering not only speed but also consistency, supporting the championship’s top talents with the grip they need to perform at their best.
